Award-winning Playwright
Laura Leininger-Campbell
Laura Leininger-Campbell is a playwright and actor. Her writing reflects intersections between real-life struggles and how we conjure hope and determination from those conflicts.
Laura’s plays have been honored with distinction from the Eugene O’Neill Playwrights conference (Finalist, Semi-Finalist) , Henley Rose Playwrights Competition (Runner-up), Seven Devils Play Foundry (Finalist), Ashland National Play Foundry (Finalist), and the Great Plains Theater Commons (Playlabs, Residency).
“Thought-provoking, memory-invoking, talk-about-it-for-weeks-afterward good.“
“I can’t find words to express how impressed — how moved—I was by her words. She is a brilliant writer. Her command of the English language and the easy way she strings it all together is inspiring.”
“Artists have a responsibility to comment on/respond to the sociological events that surround them, and Laura has done that in a truly stunning way.”
